Susan J. Young | Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for MarVista, Susan Young is responsible for the financial, administrative, and risk management operations of MarVista. This includes the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems. Susan brings a blend of Fortune 100 and small company experience to the table to help MarVista during its next phase of growth. Susan joins MarVista from Explorica, Inc, a global educational travel company, where she was CFO for nearly 4 years. In this role, Susan was responsible for the global finance organization including oversight of finance operations in the US, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, China, and Sweden as well as the establishment of finance and accounting processes and procedures. Prior to Explorica, Susan was VP Finance at Stryker Biotech and held a variety of finance roles at the Eastman Kodak Company. During her tenure at Kodak, Susan was in the Entertainment Imaging organization, a division providing film and digital services to the entertainment industry for 7 years, with roles in Europe, Hollywood, and Rochester, NY including European finance director, CFO of Cinesite Hollywood, and finance integration manager for the acquisition of Laser Pacific. Prior to Kodak, Susan worked for Electronic Data Systems and Xerox Corporation. Young has an MBA in Finance from Syracuse University and a BS in Finance from Clarkson University. Susan has a passion for travel and has visited all 7 continents and will complete the 50 states with a trip to Alaska in 2012.
