THE LIES I TELL MYSELF (90 minutes)

Tatiana McQuay, Ricardo Hurtado, Greg Rogstad, Nia Sioux, Matthew Taylor, Emily Skinner

Fifteen-year old Cassie is starting the school year, whether she likes it or not, and along with it, the romantic drama from the past summer. Being faced with her kind-of-ex-boyfriend Jake (Greg Rogstad) and her rebound Elliot (Ricardo Hurtado) she finds herself in an unintentional love triangle. Torn between the two, Cassie looks to her friends, Ally (Nia Sioux) and Louis (Matthew Taylor) for advice. Louis convinces her to date them both until she figures out who she likes more, but Ally advises against it. Cassie runs herself ragged trying to juggle both guys for the next couple of weeks and still can’t bring herself to make a decision. The building tension culminates at the Homecoming dance where Cassie’s lies finally catch up with her. Cassie soon realizes that being honest is worth more than saving face with everyone and keeping up a façade.
