During a jewelry heist, one of the three thieves, is wounded. The trio seek the help of a local doctor (Jeremy London). The two male fugitives are desperate to flee the scene, but the woman is so severely hurt that the doctor convinces them to leave her in his care. After the two men take off, they realize that they have left the stolen diamonds behind. They return, only to find that the diamonds are missing, and take the doctor and his family hostage. But the doctor and his family fight back.
